At UpTop, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and protected when you use our mobile application and related services (the "App") in compliance with Apple App Store Guidelines (including Guideline 5.1.1).

1. Data We Collect

To provide you with the UpTop experience, we collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and profile data (such as your role and department) provided by you or your organization.
  • User-Generated Content: We store the recognition notes, points, and high-five transaction records you send and receive within your organization.
  • Usage Data & Device Information: We may collect non-identifiable usage analytics to help us improve app performance.

2. How We Process Your Data

Your data is processed securely and is strictly used to facilitate the features of the UpTop app. Specifically:

  • Secure Storage: We utilize Supabase as our secure backend infrastructure. All data transmission between your device and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard protocols (HTTPS/TLS).
  • Service Operation: We use your information to operate leaderboards, calculate team streaks, and display your profile to your coworkers within your private organizational environment.
  • No Sale of Data: We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information or user data to third parties.

3. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App's services.

How to delete your account: You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time.

  • In-App: You can initiate account deletion directly within the App by navigating to Settings > Privacy > Delete Account.
  • Via Support: Alternatively, you may email us at our support contact to request manual data removal. Once requested, your personal data will be completely wiped from our live databases within 30 days.

4. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes via the App.
